Lucie Jones on The Graham Norton Show

Not long finished watching former X-Factor contestant Lucie Jones perform her new single Never Give Up On You. As anyone who the Eurovision Song Contest, or bothers to, will know is it’s back next month, 13th May to be precise, and good old Ms Jones is our entry for the UK. As far as songs go it isn’t actually that bad and Lucie’s actually got a really good voice. Full-bodied, soothing and not to mention a little bit haunting. Definitely sounds like the sort that you hear on Eurovision. Good luck to you Lucy, we’re all counting on you in Kiev

Harry Styles on The Graham Norton Show

Watching Harry Styles performing his new solo song Sign Of The Times on The Graham Norton Show on BBC1 right now, it’s got a good intro to it but unfortunately I can’t honestly say I’m a fan. I openly admit it sounds alright but it’s not exactly growing on me, it’s as if he’s trying to pass himself off as a British Bon Jovi but has managed to miss the mark. I openly admit I wasn’t a One Direction fan so it’s probably me being a little biased about it. Sorry Harry dude but I’m afraid I won’t be rushing to get/download it anytime soon.

Jennifer Hudson on The Graham Norton Show

Not long finished watching US singer, and The Voice UK coach/star, Jennifer Hudson perform her latest single Remember Me on The Graham Norton Show. It doesn’t sound all that bad, bit of a slow starter if I’m being honest, but non-the-less her voice sounds good. It does pick up some pace after about 20 seconds thereabouts. Can’t say I was impressed to be honest but credit where it’s due she has got a really good voice full of soul and she does hit the high-note. Nice touch with the violins in the background.

Take That on The Graham Norton Show

So, after a small-ish sort of absence he’s back and he’s got Take That on the show performing their new single Wonderland. I think this must be the first time they’ve performed since Jason Orange left leaving them as a threesome. In all fairness Wonderland’s actually quite a good song and it’s gripping from the word go. Gary Barlow’s voice practically knows no bound. The line ‘Music Makes Me Feel Good’ just goes round and round your head, it’s quite catchy. Nice song lads. And as always these guys know how to engage their audience.

THEY on the radio

Just caught a new track on the radio, literally a moment ago. It’s called Truth Be Told by American R&B duo Dante Jones and Drew Love, also know as They. All I can say it that it sounded amazing, and I’d definitely listen again. Once again America I salute you for giving us another great new band/duo of beautiful taste. The Truth Be Told is on their debut album Nu Religion: Hyena. Should be in the Top Ten at least.

James Blunt on The Graham Norton Show

Just watching James Blunt perform his new single, Love You Better, which I admit is a bit edgy and raw compared to what he’s sang in the past. There’s some strong language at the start but it quickly mellows out after about 15 seconds. I admit I’m not a huge fan of Blunt but I do like this song, it’ll probably grow on me. As far as comebacks go that didn’t seem all too bad. The song is from his new album The Afterlove, also he admitted that he was aware of his ‘unpopular-ness’ over the past few years, especially on Twitter.

Tinie Tempah on The Graham Norton Show

Currently watching Tinie Tempah perform his single on Text From Your Ex The Graham Norton Show and he’s as charismatic, and energetic as ever and his song’s actually quite good. I could happily listen to it a few times over and not tire of it and Tinashe has a great stage presence and her locals go hand-in-hand with Tinie’s. Seriously, those two together are like milk and honey; are perfect combo

Anne Marie on The One Show

Just finished listening to Anne Marie on The One Show, on BBC1, and my god what a woman, what an artist. Her new single Ciaos Adios sounds just brilliant and the chorus Ciao Adios I’m Done just goes round your head and is a great hip-hop dance record and to top it off she’s up for a Brit Award Nomination this year. She has collaborated with Clean Bandit on the single Rockabye last year. I admit I haven’t paid much attention to her music over the past year or so but probably will be now.

Rag’n’Bone Man on The Graham Norton Show

Listening to Rag’n’Bone man perform his sensational debut hit track Human on The Graham Norton Show on BBC1 right now, and I swear this song just gets better the more I listen to it. In a way he’s like a male version on Adele, he may be big in size but when he opens his mouth it’s a different story. This guy’s got a powerful, gospel voice which you simply can’t ignore. The song’s off the album of the exact same name.

Rag’n’Bone Man On The Radio

Been hearing a lot from this guy recently, especially his song Human which is absolutely awesome listening pleasure. Radio 1’s been playing it a lot lately, and I won’t be tiring of of it any time soon. He’s only 32 he’s got an amazing, powerful, gospel voice that has a very rich sound to it. Human is a great song, I love it and the lyric “I’m only human after all” just goes round your head and is fantastic. Not bad for a guy who won the Brits Critics Choice Award
